Oil analysts estimate Kazakhstan holds about four billion tons of proven recoverable oil reserves. Planned expansion of oil production, coupled with the development of new fields will enable the country to produce as much as three million barrels per day by 2015, escalating Kazakhstan into the ranks of the world's top 10 oil-producing countries. The country has more than 2,000 cubic kilometers of clean, energy efficient natural gas.
